Here's To Hoping Norm Coleman Does Sue

It might just be that the best thing for the voters of Minnesota, would be to see just how low Norm Coleman will go.  A protracted legal battle which he will inevitably lose, may ensure that Minnesota voters see him finally for the phony he truly is.

On the other hand, if he walks away graciously this week, gives a tearjerking speech about how he will step aside in the best interests of Minnesota, he could be the next governor from that state.

As I've mentioned elsewhere, there are several similarities between Coleman and Virgil Goode. Here, Goode, after fighting for a recount and loosing, looks like he'll get some help in his next life from several politically related friends, i.e. the Republican "good ol' boy" money circuit.

I thought I'd heard the last of that dumb hillbilly Goode! I can hardly believe he finally lost! But you are right; he will be well taken care of as he assumes the mantel of "lobbyist" or "Think Tank Genius." Boy, the repubs have so much money after Bush they don't care who they throw it at as long as it isn't someone who is poor or who doesn't have health insurance!

Virgil Goode: a carbuncle on the butt of Virginia no more! EEEEEEHa!

If Norm is not totally disillusioned with politics now---and pursuing his lofty political ambition has always been his only reason for existence---then he might have a lot of options. He'd likely do quite well in the role of RNC chair, for instance. He might even decide to run for state A.G., or better yet Mn Secretary of State, to oust Mark Ritchie.

But ". . . sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." He is no longer Senator from Minnesota, thanks to the 2008 election, to be known hemceforth among political historians as "The Year of Miracles." It was like 1958 and 1960 all over again, but rolled into one!

Ah, Norm just needs to find a better job for his wife. Then he can write his memoirs and go on Fox news and appear on Rush Radio, and join a law firm lobbying for tax relief for billionaires and give speeches to organizations that need more outsourcing so they arm the world, ....ah forget it.

He lost. Bury him.

Maybe Franken could ask Tina Fey to get her a cameo as a bimbo on 30 Rock.

Even bimbos have somestandards.

Ted Mondale had Norm pegged. He truly is a blow-dried bellhop for the rich and famous.

Maybe ole Norm should take a week-long cure with George Galloway, the Brit MP. Might do his spirits a world of good.
