Burris Will Be Seated - Surprise, Suprise!!!
Could these idiots be any more transparently gutless? I wrote back on December 30th that Reid should just take the gifthorse Blago delivered and move on. Then the high horse crowd came out and harrumphed and pooh poohed and claimed they were "shocked shocked to find gambling going on".
Now Reid is saying that the real reason he wasn't seated was the lack of the Illnois SOS counter-signature, is beyond laughable.
The good news is we will have our 58th member of the caucus. The bad news is once again Democrats look foolish by their idiotic posturing.

Hopefully, the seating of Burriss will allow the Senate to now seat Franken, "without prejudice", pending the outcome of the election contest in Minnesota.
I believe they did the same thing with Mary Landrieu back in 2002. However this "certificate" nonsense may now come back and bite Reid in the ass.

Not so fast. Seems news reports were a bit premature. Burris is still not going be seated. If this weren't so sad it would be funny.

The high horse crowd? Anyone who doesn't agree with your assessment of things is arrogant, is that it?
Do you even live in Illinois? If so, I'd be curious to hear your opinion of your junior senator in a year. I wonder if you'll still be so thrilled at the idea of Senator Burris.

He'll be seated by this Friday or early next week at the latest. Another total reversal by Reid which again makes him look like an idiot.
As for the high horse crowd, I am referring to the Reid enablers whose knee jerk reaction to the appointment was to fly into moral outrage instead of looking at the appointment practically.
It is and was a legal appointment that the Senate never was able to stop. Reid should thank his lucky stars that Blago didn't appoint a right wing Republican.
We need less "moral high horse" and more "getting the job done" in Congress. All hands on deck means all 59 members of the caucus seated and voting. The 500,000+ people filing for unemployment insurance each week are counting on it.

I agree we need more getting the job done in Congress. Which is exactly why Burris is a horrible choice.
But whatever. Now I just want them to seat him so he doesn't get any more national press coverage.
