McCAin Regrets Palin Decision
Posted from Daily Kos by Davidkc: McCain interview in Florida regretting not picking Charlie Crist:
"Charlie, because he's so popular, he probably would have made a significant difference,"McCain said in an interview with the St. Petersburg Times and Bay News 9.
"I think this would have been a battleground state, except for obviously (with) a popular governor as Charlie Crist is," McCain said.
"Look, this is a tough decision that we made with Sarah Palin."

Pretty damning. I hope the Obama campaign picks up on it.

The full McCain interview airs Sunday on Bay News 9's Political Connections show at 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Anybody in Florida care to record it and post it? Sure would love to hear it.

No, Crist has a certain problem common amongst goopers - so much so that he had to sport a 'beard' during the vetting.

I just went back into the archives to get the date for the 'nuptials'. It is December12th. Mark your calendar!! The gossip was that there would be no wedding if he wasn't chosen. We will just have to see...he may be shooting for 2012......

"tough decision" - more like stupid, reckless...

One can always know when a Republican hasn't a valid comment on a deicision: they offer the lame, outer-directed "tough decision".
As if "tough" means "correct".
Yes, a stupid decision, even if tough. Though I'll bet it was not only reckless but also STUPID.
Not-so-by-the-way: Maddow ran a quote from Crist's response -- he was on his way to Disneyworld as to whether he would campaign for McPalin. His response: "if I have the time . . . ."

But...but...but...
Senator Straight Talk said on Letterman yesterday that Palin was "absolutely" his first choice.
Country First!

It was a "tough decision." Really? More like a reckless decision if you ask me. If he's been thinking about running again for the 2008 election since 2000, where was Palin then? Hardly a thought out choice. Many well known conservatives have been off the McCain bandwagon since he picked her. And all he says it was a "tough decision?" That is laughable.

Your headline is misleading.
Reading the article, `The Republican presidential nominee expressed no regrets for choosing Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin `

Then he's clearly both senile and unqualified, because if he were sane -- and honest -- he WOULD admit regretting it.
As do numerous REPUBLICANS.

Actually, it's that line that's misleading. The author's claim that McCain expressed no regret doesn't fit with what McCain actually said.
