In an effort to make headway with the over 55 crowd, Obama might want to refer back to the TV show Maverick of the late 50's early 60's starring James Garner and friends.
Let's see: there was Brett Maverick, Bart Maverick, (English Cousin) Beau Maverick, and John McCain - BALONEY Maverick.

"The old boy network? In the McCain campaign, that’s called a staff meeting." - Barack today

Bogart as Rick: Louis, why are you closing me (my bar) down?
Louis: I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on here!"
Croupier: Here are your winnings, Sir.
Louis: Thank-you

I think Barack is finally getting it.
I posted this 09/07 and I think it still applies:
"Time to sharpen the message (K.I.S.S.):
Iraq: Why can't McCain
accept victory. The surge worked. The Iraqis want us to leave. Bush
agrees. Only McCain wants to stay. $10 billion and month. Time to
bring our troops home.
Economy: Trickle down economics brought
us two recesssions in the last 8 years. More of the same will bring us
another Great depression. I am proposing the largest middle class tax
in history. McCain wants the largest corporate tax cut in history.
Let the American people decide.
Health Care: My plan, with
Hillary's help, gets us to universal affordable coverage. John's plan
encourages employers to drop coverage. You decide.
Social Security: McCain wants to privatize it just like Bush. I don't. End of argument.
McCain himself: Stop praising him. Call him a liar when he lies. Call him a liar to his face!
Keep it simple. Remove all the "uhs" from your conversation. Win the debates, win the election. Save America."

The McCain campaign is sooooo right. This election is NOT about issues, it's about personalities. And Baracks latest ad (Deception) FINALLY starts hitting McCain at his perceived strength - honor and integrity. I hope it's not too little too late.
And by the way, the Obama speaking straight into the camera ad should have been running WEEKS ago. It is the perfect antidote to Celebrity attacks. Celebrities don't talk to you one-on-one, face-to-face. Why was the campaign so tone deaf and stuck in the mud until now?
