All right, I suckered you in. But really, wouldn't it make a great "Simpsons" episode?

Bart gets elected class president. Later that day Bart's home watching tv. While working the remote he sees every channel has McCain using the POW card as an excuse for his mistakes. Bart gets the idea and, later, when he gets in trouble for abusing his powers as class president his response is, "Hey man, I was a POW."

Because that's pretty much what McCain will do if he gets elected president. "Don't blame me, I was a POW."
