So...where's the junior senator from NY?
If the Senate's swearing in this week, doesn't Patterson have to get going on his appointment? Wouldn't his appointee need to, you know, find a place to live and get started? What's the hold up? Is he lost on the SNL set, or something? Just curious.

Gov. Patterson said early on he would appoint no replacement for Senator Clinton until Senator Clinton resigned. As of this writing Hillary is still the junior Senator from NY and still has all the rights and duties that come with the position.

Well, in this economy, smart not to quit your old job before the ink's dry on the new employment contract!

The cynic in me says they are busy competing to demonstrate who will best fill Patterson's campaign coffers. Whoever demonstrates the ability to best help Patterson will get the job.
Gotta love politics in America.
