I got yer Stimulus right here!
The stimulus bill is having such a hard time, that I am surprised that no one else can see the obvious. It is simply much too large for most Americans to wrap their heads around. It is too complicated and overly ambitious for even the more educated folks because it is so multi faceted.
All I can say is 'K.I.S.S.' Keep It Simple Sam. Break this bad boy down into smaller, easier to chew packages and most Americans will see how it will help them and then they will get after their Repugnatcan representatives to pass each one. The Repugs will be forced to get on board or be shown for the anti American jerks that they most certainly are.
Break this bill into four seperaate bills. Each bill having immediate action followed by long term goals.
Start with the parts that will get things moving and can be easily quantified. I want Obama to get the credit for making things better, but it must be tangible and real.
I've been thinking the same thing. Why does it all have to be crammed into one package? How about a bill for bridge and road repair that will create jobs immediately, including districts of Repug senators up for re-election in states that voted for Obama. Let's see if they'll vote against those.
