Clinton as Sec. State? Not so fast.
I've been watching this for a while with curiousity as to what job offering Hillary Clinton will end up with after the election, and I have a theory as to a cross situation with Joe Liberman. Again, just a theory, but the way the Liberman thing is being handled by Obama and staff, and the way they are not really behind what Senator Reid is doing each step of the way makes it appear to me that it is being used as a possible way to discredit the Majority Leader. I don't think Clinton would want Sec. State, I might be wrong here but it's just a gut feeling, but I am SURE she would love to be Majority Leader of the United States Senate.
Let Harry Reid make the mistake of mishandling this Liberman thing, or just the perception of it take hold, and see how fast the revolving door slams shut allowing Clinton to drop into his spot, making her the first female to hold the position. Again, this is just theoryspeak at this point, but I don't think I've heard Reid say anything yet that Obama's people supported, they seem to be throwing wrenches in the cogs whenever he gets the wheels moving. It wouldn't be any type of shock to see the switch.
(Revolving door slamming shut is a little rahmbonics for those that don't catch the reference.)

I like it. Hillary would be great in that job. Hope it happens.

I am willing to be corrected, but I think majority leader is not possible due to seniority. Would she step over Durbin who is next in line or Schumer ( a big supporter during the Primary) who is third in line. I just don't see it happening.

Good points there. Admittedly I was just passing a theory for what might be going on backroom for what does appear to be a discredation campaign going on against Senator Reid. Other possible option there being that the press wants it to look like Obama is torpedoing Reid on purpose to make Obama look bad, or some combination of making them both look bad. Honestly, you NEVER hear a lot of support being made for Majority Leader Reid, just a LOT of negativity. I have the feeling they want to replace him, or someone is making it look as such.

This is a lot of BS...Hillary shouldn't be SOS...she's not qualified and there are better choices...Bill Richardson for one...just because he's not a "rockstar" shouldn't disqualify him. Hillary is a fast learner and has the charisma, but Richardson has been doing this for a while, even as governor. If Obama wants to reward her, let him stick her at the health department...there, she'd be able to work on her passion.
Besides, Hillary has her own base, even among Obama cabinet (since most are from the Clinton era - didn't Obama rail against the "revolving door" in Washington (or like Sarah Palin likes to call it "the old boys network)).
Obama's nominees have so far been dissappointing, especially those on the transition team...didn't he promise us some new faces in Washington?

I have to slightly disagree that he needs to find all new faces. It's going to be rather difficult to find qualified Democrats and Republicans that know the system to put into government office positions that did not work under Clinton or Bush 1 or 2. It would be very irresponsible to nominate a bunch of people with no governmental experience, and those are pretty much the only Presidents they could have gotten it under at the federal level. Maybe he could expand outward to state level people, but I think it would be off the mark for a responsible President to not go after the best people with the most experience. Hopefully he will also put in some new faces, but at lower levels. I do agree with Hillary at Health though, although I don't know that I believe that she would retire as a Senator for such a low post.
