The New Democratic Coalition
I will preface this that I am an Obama supporter, but, beyond that, I am very afraid that Hilary , in her desire to be the nominee, is really ripping apart the old Democratic Coalition.
Is she giving any thought on whether the AA community will ever vote for her now, after these latest remarks from Ferraro and her campaigns rather tepid response to those abhorrent opinions? Does she think the Democrats can blithely toss away that segment of the Coalition for her short term gain?
What about the guy in Ohio making snide comments about the Birkenstock-wearing, latte sipping liberals that vote for Obama? Are we willing to reward those remarks and then try to get them to vote for us and our candidates?
I won't even go into the offensive CinC comments as they were so beyond the pale for any Democrat to be saying that no one can defend them.
I really feel that I am sitting here, held captive, while a rogue elephant is ripping apart the party I have supported for my whole life (and I am no kid, having cast my first Presidential ballot for George McGovern.).
At what point are the party elders gonna step in and say, "Enough's enough".
It's past time.
