Limbaugh reacts predictably to Powell endorsement

Gee, who didn't see this coming?:
Rush Limbaugh said Colin Powell's decision to get behind Barack Obama appeared to be very much tied to Obama's status as the first African-American with a chance to become president.

"Secretary Powell says his endorsement is not about race," Limbaugh wrote in an e-mail. "OK, fine. I am now researching his past endorsements to see if I can find all the inexperienced, very liberal, white candidates he has endorsed. I'll let you know what I come up with."

As for Powell's statement of concern this morning about the sort of Supreme Court justices a President McCain might appoint, Limbaugh wrote: "I was also unaware of his dislike for John Roberts, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Anthony Kennedy and Antonin Scalia. I guess he also regrets Reagan and Bush making him a four-star [general] and secretary of state and appointing his son to head the FCC. Yes, let's hear it for transformational figures."
Late update: George Will also speculates on racial motivation; Pat Buchanan falls off sanity carousel over it.

Wow, what a manchild. The more Limbaugh is on the air, the more people get the idea that this is acceptable or, still worse, intellectually honest.

Limbaugh is a chickenshit punk. He of the ass-boil dodge would not ever dare to say any such thing to Powell's face, and he and Powell both know that to be true. And that is the counter whenever any Limbaugh follower cites the slimy, bloated coward in any way.

user-pic

You left out the relevant fact that he's also a drug-addled junkie.

You see, whenever respected white Americans endorse a white candidate, well, that's obviously because they are simply picking the best candidate. But when a respected black Americans endorse a black candidate it is because of black racial identity.

Isn't it typical that Limbaugh and his Dittohead, Freeper ilk seem unaware that such a notion is itself highly bigoted?

"An endorsement by radio personality Rush Limbaugh would make 16% of voters more likely to support a candidate while 46% would be less likely to vote for a Limbaugh endorsed candidate."

Limpbaugh need not look any further than George W. Bush: inexperienced, white, and considering he just nationalized those banks, about as "very liberal" as the definition allows.

Ha!

Got any extra OxyContin, Rush? Cindy's been looking for some . . .

Hey what's wrong with those with common backgrounds endorsing each other?

Limbaugh got the same fax as Pat Buchanan, Drudge, and the other wingnut bobbleheads. Once again, all they have is hate, fear, and the politics of personal destruction. They eat their own.

They eat their own.

And what a greasy fatty buffet it is.

Not only was it easy to see it coming, I pointed out yesterday that the Right were already gearing up this argument.

Can't wait for Jack Handy (AKA Al Frankin) to win MN's senate seat:

"Because I'm good enough, smart enough, people like me, and gosh darn it, Rush Limbaugh is a big fat idiot"

It really is too bad that these guys can't give any credit where credit is due. They malign Gen. Palin simply because it is not their candidate being endorsed. If you are not 'for' the republicans... you are apparently 'not' a lot of things you should be in their eyes but most of all you will be denigrated and maligned.

If that's what they have to do so that they can go to sleep at night... sad, but I can live with it as long as we can get a FAIR election and win. I am not going to expect them to cheer for us.

Wow. I know I did this at 2AM but my apologies to Colin Powell. Palin however was on my mind as I am noticing that she becomes more of an issue for McCain the closer we get to the election.

It's as though the closer people get to actually voting the more of an issue she 'reslly' is.

By this same logic, Joe Lieberman must be a white supremacist. I mean, it's pretty obvious why he jumped partys isn't it?

I noticed on the special edition of Hardball Sunday, Pat Buchanan was reading as he suggested that Colin Powell's endorsement of Barack Obama was just one black man supporting another. Now, if anybody is capable of hurling disparaging racial remarks without prompt or prep, it's Pat Buchanan. I thought at the time, here's the Republican talking point. Well, it's Monday and I have heard it from Rush Limbaugh, George Will, Joe Scarborough and Sean Hannity. WHOSE THE NEXT MINDLESS BIGOT THAT WANTS TO SPEW PUG TALKING POINTS? COME ON DOWN!

user-pic

Detective Rush Limbaugh has cracked the case! It turns out that Colin Powell is black! Who could have guessed? Certainly not republicans, they don't see race. That's why it took a strong mind like Rush Limbaugh to put his colorblind glasses aside and get to the bottom of this mystery. And now that they've established the color of Powell's skin, they can prove his motive.

Lets just hope Rush doesn't see himself in the mirror. He might catch a glimpse of his pasty white skin and realize that he's a racist fuck with a drug problem.

Thank you Robotic Space Penguin. That's the kind of eloquence that I was groping for, in my post!
