Thank You TPM Readers and Bloggers
It has been sites like TPM that have kept me inspired, informed, and entertained over the past two years, as I inched my way forward into believing that for once my Country, Our Nation would appeal to its Higher Self by not succumbing to the LCD (or lies, contrivances, delusions) during an election cycle.
While political pundits pontificated for pedestrian profits, readers like Genghis, Desidero, TheraP, LisB, clearthinker, gotalife, and others challenged my assumptions, supported my aspirations, and assisted in furthering the continuing dialogue of this still fragile, yet strengthening democracy of ours.
So as a Veteran, as a Father, as an African-American, and as a Republican who phone banked and canvassed for President-Elect Obama (I'll leave the party when Colin Powell leaves), I view you as True Patriots, and I thank you one and All.

Obama surprised me at every stage of this campaign, always making the right decisions, showing humanity, staying calm when McCain took the lead after the Republican convention, always the professional - right up to the end. He should be a great president.
