there is another wall, 'TWICE AS HIGH AND FOUR TIMES AS LONG'
Twenty years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Guardian newspaper today reminds us that there is another wall, 'TWICE AS HIGH AND FOUR TIMES AS LONG'.
Another wall, in another place, behind which tens of thousands of families have been forced into a ghetto that is controlled by an occupying force that imposes its will upon a subjugated people - whilst the world watches and takes no action.
One wonders what it will take for the world to act, and when.

Walls are invariably the manifestation of insecurity and megalomania. They all fall in time. A testament to the delusion of grandeur, wealth and the lust for power.
Just as Arafat and Sharon strutted their arrogant hour upon the stage and now are mercifully gone - so too will those who today pretend to be the 'statesmen' who control the destiny of our world.
If only Roosevelt or Churchill were alive, or indeed any person of integrity, wisdom, strength and sincerity ..
