McConnell is still playing old school politics thinking he needs as many people he can muster to harass the Democrats.

Unfortunate for him, Pres. Obama is going to be including some powerful hard, hitting Democrats and Republicans in his Cabinet that will work both sides of Congress effectively to the middle ground to reach consensus on Legislative issues. It'll make McConnell look like the rank, political amateur he is.

McConnell hasn't realize the Washington game is no longer playing politics...it's being transformed into a working government. He's gonna have to learn some new rules if he wants to play the game.

That's the only reason for Reid to tolerate him...he may need him on the Democrats side to control the Senate to keep the repugs locked in the broom closet down in the basement. So Lieberman's only hope for political salvation is if the Democrats reach 59. If they fail to reach that or for some unknown reason they get to the magic number, he's burnt toast.
