It's October Surprize time: cue the engineered international crisis
I feel the need to verbalize the following fear:
I'm concerend an international crisis will be orchestrated or allowed to happen by the Bush administration, in an effort to help John McCain's election chances. Seems like there are manageable situations in Pakistan, Iran or other locations that could be allowed to turn confrontational. Would an administration play with fire in this way - I'm not sure, but I can't help believing that this type of action may be considered. I'm curious to hear other people's perspectives?

I suspect that this season October surprise may be NO SURPRISE.
That's right nothing. Just rumors of what might be coming. That's more anxiety inducing than anything real.
Start something with Iran? It'll backfire given the disaffection about Iraq.
Start something in Pakistan? Way too many trip wires there.
Find Osama? They'd have done it by now.
And anything grandiose will be seen as a stunt anyway.
Nah, I think ACORN indictments was the surprise and it ain't working.

I'm thinking no, I think we are all prone to believe people have more control over the world than they actually do.
