"Everything is so amazing and nobody is happy". 

Sounds about right to me.  We seem to have this odd ability to look for happiness in the next minute while forgetting to appreciate the moment we inhabit now.  Yesterday was so much fun, tomorrow will be a blast ... what of today?  For that matter, what do we really remember about yesterday?  Now that you've contemplated that - what did it teach us?

Old Grouch gave me this one, too.  I can't seem to talk him into posting this stuff himself, even though it's his thoughtfulness that leads me to it.  Anyway, enjoy the laugh ... and the thought.

What a difference a day makes ... November 4, 2008.

Hi there, come on in.  Am I too late for your company?  I sorely hope not, as last week was long and this one looks to be much of the same.  The fact is simply that I crave your presence - I need to feel you gazing at me as I smile at you.  So if you have a moment, please join me in this little space that I consider home.  The sofa hasn't moved and the ugly blue chair is silent.  Funny, though, I can hear Sox snoring ... somewhere.  That's right.  I thought the sound was close to my heart, how smart of you to notice.
