Hi there, come on in.  It's been a long and eventful week, hasn't it?  So much to celebrate, so much to remember.  Emotions that have been hard to describe even as they flowed from each of us to the other.  Some things need no words.  All right, get in here and find a seat.  The sofa is still open, as is the ugly blue chair.  Someone's already happily in dreamland while consumed by the beanbag ...  shhh.  Luckily they're in the corner, won't be disturbed by the music.  Speaking of which, what are you in the mood to hear tonight?  Care for a glass of Zin?  On my way to refill my glass, so just let me know.

I am by no means informed enough to give you links, quotes or lengthy dissertation regarding pretty much anything.  So let's just make that a given, shall we?  I do have an opinion, however, much as those other folks that bother you on a daily basis.  You know the ones.  In the streets as you walk, talking non-stop on their phones while clueless to the fact that you just want to get around them.  Then there are the idiots who dare shop while you do, certainly unaware that you're in a hurry.  Dare we even mention the drivers?

This is our time, this is our moment.  The responsibility is heavy and the road long.  From coast to coast, sea to shining sea and all the huddled masses in between, we will struggle in the days and years ahead.  Our journey is frought with peril even as our courage is to be challenged in ways as yet unknown.

Yet, as a people we are rejoicing.  As a nation, stronger than we thought possible ... together building the pathway to the future.  With joyous belief in ourselves and our new President - faith that in one another will be found unity - in each heart and throughout this great country.

This is our time, this is our moment.  As I like to say ... hi there, come on in.
