UK to send 500 troops to Afghanistan

Like pouring a cup of tea on the London Fire of 1666.

PBS's Frontline had a story just last night about the hopelessness of our military presence in Afghanistan. It seems the folks who live there are a bit divided about our plans for their country. And it seems the soldiers are getting just a little bit frustrated trying to help a population ruled by Americans during the day and the Taliban at night.

So I'm sure they greeted this news this morning with wide smiles.
