Geithner = Leona

I can't do it. I just can't do it.

I can't give this guy a break. Not after all I've seen and heard in politics in the last twenty years.

I know the President deserves the nominee he picks. I'm willing to trust Obama. This guy just might be the best Treasury Secretary available right now.

Or maybe not. Maybe he's just another neocon free market idiot. Maybe he's somebody who doesn't believe he has to pay his fair share of taxes. Maybe he thinks that's just for the Little People. Either way, I have just withdrawn my support for Obama's Treasury Secretary nominee. As far as I'm concerned, Obama must pick someone else.

And: If the screening process to serve in Obama's administration was half as arduous and painstaking as it was reported, how did this slip through? $34,000 in UNPAID taxes? Wasn't checking the help's tax records the FIRST thing they did, after what happened to Clinton in '92-3? Is this really such a 'common mistake'?

The hell it is...
