Shouln't President Bush Fly Commerical?
So, we heard a GOP attack dog on MSNBC mock Obama a few days ago for using his campaign plane to fly to
Hawaii to visit is sick grandmother. He said Obama should take a regular flight
like every other America. So, I got to thinking.... does George Bush use Air
Force One to fly home to Crawford Texas to take a weeks vacation? I'm pretty
sure he does. So, shouldn't he ride a commercial flight like everyone else?
Should American tax payers foot the bill for his vacation flight? If you use this guys
standard, Bush should fly home on his own dime.
Just a
thought.

This is one of my father's giant pet-peeves...he claims that it costs the taxpayers 1million each time bush takes off. I don't know, but I agree that Bush can do that dreadful transfer at DFW like everyone else. He's not special anymore. He's a deadbeat on the public welfare roles as far as I'm concerned.

On the other hand, would you want to be on a commercial plane and see Bush boarding? Everything the guy has touched has crashed and burned. No, I think Bush should be banned from leaving the White House, until his term is up and then banished to Crawford to cut brush for the next 8 years!

You have a point. Perhaps we should all be allowed to book fares on AFone to offset his expenses...sort of an inquisition flight everytime he wants to flee the responsibilities of State.
He can cut mesquite and fish for pond-raised catfish until eternity. My only hope is that he goes deaf and doesn't hear a rattler.
