Lame Ducker-in-Chief

"This is a gift from the Iraqis, this is the farewell kiss, you dog. This is from the widows, the orphans and those who were killed in Iraq."
-- Muntadhar al-Zeidi
A fitting final image of the Bush escapade in Iraq, and of his presidency.
Props to "STOP George" at Daily Kos, from whom I borrowed this image.
Strangely hypnotic. I can't seem to stop watching it. I think I keep hoping that one of the shoes will finally hit him. Is that bad of me? It seems like a minor thing compared to the deaths of over 100,000 innocent Iraqi men, women and children.

I find it to be hilarious - and extremely poignant. I think it will indeed become the lasting image that defines the Bush Legacy in Iraq... Just like the "Mission Accomplished" photo so clearly explains the hubris wrapped in stupidity that underscored nearly everything this Administration did.
Even George has to know just how horrible this looks for him. In this way, the Iraqi reporter finally connected with Bush in a way the millions of Iraqi victims of Bush could never do - even though both shoes sailed just past his head.
What a chump!

This is a scream. You made two shoes into a hundred and it is funny. In some other post I just noted that there are hundreds of Iraqis outside demonstrating and burning flags protesting the arrest of the guy who threw the shoe.

I found this in the comments section of a Daily kos post, as noted above, not sure who the genius is who made the animation, but I just wanted to share it here.

Bad duck! Bad duck!
(Is it possible to say -with great love- that it has been awhile since I laughed so hard?)
Love your title...is that original? If so, you may go down in history, as well...

My title is a variation on a similar sentiment posted elsewhere, so I can't claim original authorship, but I did add hyphens! Glad you enjoyed the laugh.

You gotta admit though, GWB can move. Check it out! He has a whole Michael Jackson head and torso move going on. Maliki just looks like the dork at a 7th grade dance shifting his eyes and swaying to the mustic.
Stinking Hilarious.

I'm very impressed with Bush's reflexes. He moves pretty damn fast. Could it be he's used to ducking shoes?

I asked myself the same question. Is it Laura? Or did the secret service train him?

He's quick alright, like a rat, or a roach when you go after it.

Maliki is also counting the shoes as he does that wiggle, in Arabic if my lip reading is correct.

You know what, I just got lame duckers. CNN just had one of those 'experts' kind of like when Stewart has his expert Journalist in Charge of Watching Penn Ave. or something. Anyway, throwing shoes is different from a cultural standpoint in Iraq. The equivalent would be throwing your dirty underwear at the President. Notice I said your dirty underwear. I only wear clean underwear.

That guy's got an arm on him. Ya know the Texas Rangers are perpetually looking for pitching. If they signed him Bush could never set foot in the ballpark the people of Texas built for him and his partners. How sweet would that be?

I just realized: Maliki doesn't look over at Bush as the shoe heads for his head. I went and checked the original video - he doesn't look over! Normal people would actually take a quick peek to see if their foreign head-of-state guest is still in one piece.

I'd also been wondering recently is Georgie had fallen off the wagon and was spending his duckhood in inebriation. Those quick reflexes say otherwise. Now I believe those stories about his being a superior athlete in his youth.

I can't see this enough. Commander CooCoo is having the worst lame duck transition I've ever seen and it couldn't happen to a more deserving prick. First world leaders refuse to shake his hand. Now the people he "liberated" are throwing things at him.
God I love this! Thank you, and I'm sorry you were arrested, al-Zeidi!
