I can't see my comments, either. At least not the ones prior to today.
Also, "my" dashboard only shows the posts I've recommended recently, but not my recent comments or previous posts. I found my posts somewhere else, but I forget where now. I should have bookmarked the page. :-)

Okay, I clicked on "following" dijamo. Now "my dashboard" is all dijamo's recent comments and posts (not mine), LOL!

It seems like most regular users don't have a sidebar on their profile yet, so we can't follow them yet.

I especially like the common avatar we're all sharing. ;)
Do we need to re-upload our avatars?
Also, can we only view the profiles of people's who've been on the system since it switched?
Also, I love the idea of being able to follow people's blogs and comments. But I'm not sure I want to give up my dash saying, "Hilarym99 doesn't follow anybody." ;) BTW, can we see who other people are following or is that private?

you can see who other people are following. next to the profile photo in the sidebar there are links to Followers/Following lists.

That's correct. But I mean in a blog. How do you use that "image" button so you can put a photo or other image into a blog post?

we currently don't support uploading files into your blog. there are a lot of free hosting outfits that will take your pictures, and you can embed them in from there.

Hey TheraP,
You can add an image to a post right now but only in HTML format. You can toggle between the rich text formatting and html mode when creating a post. I'm a total technophobe, but it worked:
* locate the pic on a webpage (or upload it to a site like www.photobucket.com if it is on your computer.
* (IMG SRC="http://www.spiralroad.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/bush-mccain-hug.jpg" WIDTH=105 HEIGHT=97 ALT="Asshats"). But instead of the parentheses use those bracket thingies.
* Once you do the code for the image in html, when you toggle back to rich text formatting, you should be able to see the pic in your post.
Preview is your friend. Keep adjusting the width, height until it looks normal. Youtube vids are much easier - in HTML mode, just copy the embed link for the video from the youtube site.

Hey Al, do people have to update their profile in order for me to stalk...I mean follow them? I went into update my profile to re-upload my avatar pic and change my password - otherwise I was just getting the generic pic too. Maybe the profile transition is in process, but it happens almost immediately if you update your own profile FYI.

This "Followers" thing has real potential. I can see the new Posts now: "I've got 18 followers, and Billy only has 17!!"
Maybe we need a way to qualify our "followeriness"? You know, levels of devotion? Suggested ranking:
1. Accidental.
2. Nice Avatar.
3. Able To Use HTML.
4. Would Be More Devoted, But The BO Puts Me Off.
5. Has A Cat.
6. Love Slave.
7. There Is No 7th Level Of Devotion.
8. Gave Me Fish Once.
9. My Dark Side.
10. Gasket.

Hmm I meet the requirements for # 1, 3 (sometimes), 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, &10...it appears I am excessively devoted :) You might want to consider a restraining order, but I don't think that feature is functional yet.

What no fish??!!
Am wondering about this follower feature though. Anyone dumb enough to follow me is quickly gonna want an "Un-follow" button. Al.... do you have one? Because when I go on a late-night nonsense tear with Des, people are gonna wake up to 147 smart-ass comments from me, all caused by that Des Creature.
So where's the Unfollow button, Al? I may need to unfollow myself. ;-)
