There are updates and developments in the Roxana Saberi Iran espionage case
including new involvement by Ahmadinejad.
I posted several new comments and story links on Profco's April 18 blog on it. I did it that way rather than create a new post because I think it's helpful with a story like this to have more than one day's news developments in one place. If anyone has anything else to offer, please post it there.

Update: appeal on sentence next Tuesday, and the Shirin Ebadi team has been taken off the case by her father because the government reacted negatively:

Turns out even she admits to things that suggest that there was reasonable cause for her arrest and interrogation:

and therefore her release is all the more a sign of the Iranians in control wanting to appear reasonable to the current U.S. government.
