Here's that piece of human-garbage, Beck, verbally abusing former
Secretary of State Madeleine Albright just because he doesn't like how
old she looks, and how she dresses.

http://mediamatters.org/mmtv/200910080008

Perhaps the sight of Madeleine Albright gave Beck
a Proustian
memory of his repressed hatred for his own mother.

Ironically, Beck's
41-year-old suicidal drug-addict mother died in 1979 in a
tragic boating accident on the very same day, May 15th,
that Madeleine Albright turned 42. In other words, when Beck looks at
Albright he should realize that his own mother, if she had lived, would
be the same age, and would look very similar (if she was lucky; IMO
drug addicts frequently age very badly and end up looking 10 or 20
years older than they actually are).

He should also realize that (although his own mother never
accomplished anything noteworthy enough to get her name in the history
books) the women he's spitting on has a PhD in Political Science,
honarary doctorates from several universities, was a member of the
National Security Council, was U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations,
was U.S. Secretary of State, and is currently among other things a
professor at Georgetown University and a author of four books.

If I was Mrs. Glenn Beck #2, I would worry that the revulsion that
her husband has towards older women, might be an indication that he's
on the verge of pulling a John McCain or Newt Gingrich, and that wife
#3 is already in the works.

Clearly, the 46-year-old Glenn Beck is on the verge of a
mid-life crisis and might be contemplating dumping his current wife and
family, in order to hookup with a hot 25-year-old heiress with a couple
of huge trust funds (like 48-year-old McCain did; McCain
got a marriage license to marry wife #2 before he'd even finalized his
divorce from wife #1).

Or, maybe wife #3 is going to be one of the young interns
or staffers Beck's got running around his office and who he probably
already spends more time with than with his family (like Gingrich did
when he dumped wife #2 in order to promote
one of his congressional aides to the position of wife #3).

Today, the New York Times reports that in the first two weeks of October, Pudd'nhead Palin (using McCain campaign funds) paid Amy the Makeup-artist (Pudd'nheads personal makeup-artist) an additional $22,800.

Tell all your kids they shouldn't give up on trying to get into Harvard because it's not as easy as it looks being a GOP VP candidate. Pudd'nhead has to work on her gig harder than anyone knows, and all those years preping for cut-throat beauty pageants are finally paying dividends. In addition to spending hours getting her head filled with talkingpoints, folksy soundbites, and treacle, Pudd'nhead also has to put up with expensive (industrial-level) makeup sessions.

The Washington Post reported today that during the month of September, Pudd'nhead spent $13,200 on hairdos, lipstick and facepowder (that's an average of $440 per day; no idea how many hours that represents, nor how much for labor and how much for Bondo and other materials)

Pudd'nhead Palin without her makeup

Ironically, Pudd'nhead paid her personal markup-artist nearly four times as much as what Joe the Unlicensed Plumber made last month -- $13,200 versus $3,333 (assuming Joe was able to work all of last month and that his reported $40K per year salary is correct).

(Unfortunately, I can't actually make any snarky comments (yet) about how many millions of dollars Pudd'nhead has spent on lawyers (or guns) who've helped Pudd'nhead evade answering questions from the Alaska legislature and Branchflower about whether Pudd'nhead unethically tried to fire her former brother-in-law (Trooper Mike Wooten). Because, as far as I know, no reporters have yet dug up the expense reports for Pudd'nhead's personal propaganda squad, Ed O'Callaghan and Meghan Stapleton, who've been fighting for Pudd'nhead on the home front)

Q: Brandon Garcia wants to know, "What does the Vice President do?"

PALIN: Aw, that's something that Piper would ask me, as a second grader, also. That's a great question, Brandon, and a Vice President has a really great job, because no only are they there to support the President agenda, they're like a team member, the team mate to that President. But also, they're in charge of the United States Senate, so if they want to they can really get in there with the Senators and make a lot of good policy changes that will make life better for Brandon and his family and his classroom. And it's a great job and I look forward to having that job.

Brandon, read this for the correct answer.

          0 press conferences

Pudd'nhead is still religously avoiding answering reporter's
From my diary on Daily Kos:

In Pudd'nhead's latest Stump The Candidate video, Couric quizs Pudd'nhead on The First Amendment.
Although, Pudd'nhead snows Couric with her mastery of historical quotations, her minders might want to teach Pudd'nhead a new quote:

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
-- English Proverb

Someone close to both Pudd'nhead and McCain should acquaint them with these famous lines:

Oh! What a tangled web we weave
When first we practice to deceive!
-- from the poem Marmion by Sir Walter Scott

Recently there have been revelations that Pudd'nhead gets reimbursed
by the State of Alaska for the travel expenses of her appearances and
speeches before various church groups all over Alaska.

And there are also, floating around the internet tubes, videos of
those events which show Pudd'nhead getting the church groups to pray
for her election victories, or her favorite ballot issues, or other
political issues.

No doubt all this evidence of Pudd'nhead mixing church and state affairs prompted Couric in the latest Pudd'nhead and Couric Comedy Show interview, Couric asked Pudd'nhead to comment on the meaning of the First Amendment.

In her rambling non-responsive response, Pudd'nhead stands separation of church and state on its head and props it up with what she thinks is a folksy Jeffersonian quote:

Katie Couric: Thomas Jefferson wrote about the First Amendment,
building a wall of separation between church and state. Why do you
think that's so important?

Sarah Palin: His intention in expressing that was so that government did not mandate a religion on people. And Thomas Jefferson also said never underestimate the wisdom of the people.
And the wisdom of the people, I think in this issue is that people have
the right and the ability and the desire to express their own religious
views, be it a very personal level, which is why I choose to express my
faith, or in a more public forum.

And the wisdom of the people, thankfully, engrained in the
foundation of our country, is so extremely important. And Thomas
Jefferson wanted to protect that.

Unfortunately, Pudd'nhead must have misremembered her Cliffs Notes. No one has yet been able to turn up any record of President Jefferson ever saying anything like that regarding separation of church and state or any other topic.

But something very similar to that bogus Jefferson quote was written by the famous writer and satirist H.L. Mencken:

No one in this world, so far as I know — and I have researched the records for years, and employed agents to help me — has
ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the great masses
of the plain people. Nor has anyone ever lost public office thereby.

Or maybe Pudd'nhead is misremembering another famous Mencken quote:

No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of
the American people. People can easily be persuaded to accept the most
inferior ideas or useless products.

Both of those quotes seem more appropriate than the bogus one Pudd'nhead told Couric.

I think when they meet face to face on Thursday, Biden should ask
Pudd'nhead whether she simply got confused and meant to quote Mencken instead of Jefferson, and didn't really mean to fabricate a quote out of whole cloth.

Ironically for Pudd'nhead, Jefferson frequently criticized
government officials who used religion to justify or support their
actions, and H.L. Mencken frequently satirized ignorant public frauds,
fundamentalist chistians, and journalists.

There are of course other potential sources for Pudd'nhead's bogus Jefferson quote. Perhaps Pudd'nhead borrowed her words from P.T. Barnum who is credited with saying:

No one ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public.

And given that Pudd'nhead reads all the papers, there's no doubt that she's also familiar with that famous ficitional American Dilbert who infamously said:

You can never underestimate the stupidity of the general public.

But seriously, the most likely source of Pudd'nhead's talking points must be from that famous GOP asshat Newt Gingrinch, who said.

So I start with two basic principles. Now one of them formed by
Joseph Napolitan who was a great Democratic consultant in the 60s. He
wrote a wonderful book called The Election Game and How to Win It. And
he said, never underestimate the intelligence of the American people, nor overestimate the amount of information they have. ...

Pudd'nhead has spent a lot of time in Cheney's secret undisclosed
location getting a quick education in politics, common sense, common
knowledge, etc etc.

She's probably being force fed, directly or indirectly from Gingrich
and others, hours and hours of interview tips, and cute sayings, and
historical drival, and gallons and gallons of treacle.

Obviously, her head has been overfilled and now it's all just an
overcooked treacly mess just looking and waiting for any opening to
spew forth.

So when Couric said "Jefferson", Pudd'nhead made the connection to
Napolitan (they sound alike) and that totally bogus Jeferrsonian quote
just lept out of her mouth.
