Pudd'nhead Palin Sez "I Quit"

Contrary to what Pudd'nhead says, "countless" others have not resigned and her definition of "honor" seems to be atypical and nonstandard:
In the last 50 years only 33 governors have resigned:"And though it's honorable for countless others to leave their positions for a higher calling and without finishing a term, of course we know by now, for some reason a different standard applies for the decisions I make."
- 15 resigned in order to accept a presidential appointment
- 11 resigned because they were elected or appointed to Congress or VP
- 3 resigned due to scandal
- 2 resigned after being tried and convicted of felonies
- 1 due to illness
- 1 resigned in order to prepare his fourth run at the presidency

MA has not had a great record of Governors. ;-)
Some additions to your list:
John A. Volpe resigns MA Governorship in 1969 to become Sec of Transportation.
William Weld resigns MA Governorship in 1997 to become Ambassador to Mexico.
Paul Cellucci resigns MA Governorship in 2001 to become Ambassador of Canada. (2nd straight MA Governor to resign the post!)
Since these 3 additions are nearly 10% of your list, is your list really complete?

PS Before anyone plays "gotcha": Yes, Weld wasn't confirmed for the Ambassadorship, but he did resign for it.

It is truly a shame one has to come to a blog to be informed of a blatant falsehood uttered so publicly.
Is there a petition we can sign to have Ms. Palin return the crown of thorns she is so desperate to put on her own head?
