Worldwide Support for Obama?
Perhaps the near alignment of other nation's foreign policy isn't coincidence, rather a subtle nudge to the American electorate as to which candidate would find the most overseas cooperation when they become president.
Please forgive the typos in my previous post, but since I am a horrible typist more mistakes can be expected.
Apparently the National Museum of Natural History has been famboozled into co-sponsoring a film produced by the Discovery institute. The film, "The Privleged Planet, the Search for Purpose in the Universe, is promoted as a documentary on its website. However, it is is not immediately clear on any websites related to the film it is trying to discredit real science while endorsing the theology of "intelligent design". The website is a fantastic example of pseudo-science trying to famboozle its way into the mainstream. The authors of the Privledged Planet website try to add scientific creedence to the film by emphasizing the utilization of stunning computer animation and the visual archives of NASA, the Hubble Space Telescope Institute, the European Space Agency, and leading observatories throughout the world, . There is an email circulating among scientific circles with the notion that the director of the NMNH, Christian Samper, is not entirely comfortable with this whole promotion of "intelligent design" by NMNH. Dr. Samper's email is SamperC@si.edu . I am not sure how significant a role he played in the whole process of NMNH working with the Discovery Institute on this scientific charade. But, since the NMNH has been an ardent advocate of real science, and by inference evolution, I imagine Dr. Samper is not too stoked about this new film partnership with the Discovery Institute.
