Tolerance
Bluntly, homophobes lynch homosexuals and not vice versa. It follows that it is the homophobes who need to be taught tolerance, not shown it.
This willingness to kill is granted license by hate-mongering. Some hate is justified -- as towards those who commit incest or rape children. Comparing the adult relationship between homosexuals to such actions is simply illogical hate-mongering: whatever you think about homosexual marriage it is clearly a relationship between consenting adults.
That Obama has chosen to celebrate such hate-mongering by chosen Warren to give his invocation is deplorable.

When are you going to give it a rest? While I agree this country has a long way to go in its acceptance of homosexuality, there have been great strides made.
Attempting to attach Obama to some kind of imaginary lynching party is untruthful, unjust and horrid. This is one flame you not going to be able to ignite. Others on this board have tried and it has been argued and completely exhausted. Neither Obama nor Warren is advocating lynching anyone. Please get a grip and get over it.

Beating dead horses. Cable could not get enough interviews with the gay reverend who is giving one of the prayers where Warren is giving his.

So why do you think hommophobes kill homosexuals?
My point is that in part it is because statements such as Warren's are treated as socially acceptable. To say that one group is like another group which is justly abhorred is an invitation to abhor the first group. Obama's celebration of Warren is morally obtuse.
Oh, I'll give it a rest when Obama stops doing it. He celebrated Donnie McClurkin in the same way and made the same atonement -- offering a gay Preacher in a lesser platform.
