Accord, or else.
U.S. threatens to halt services to Iraq without troop accord.
When Dubya said he'd do everything he could to help elect John McCain, I guess he wasn't kidding around. They are most definitely looking to create some event that will surge votes for McCain.
First going bin-Laden hunting over in Pakistan's mountainous Whazzuppastan.
And now (finally) strong-arming the Iraqis after 5 long years of coddling to have an agreement by hmmmmm... I don't know,
Nov 3rd??

I hope that they call the bluff and hold out for Senator Obama. This is ridiculous.

Indeed.
Bush has a problem now (well another '-), he can't just stop services, stop responding on security - it flies in the face of all their last 3 months gibberish about "we can't leave because the effects of the surge are fragile".
Will they tell Petreaus to stand down troops while Fallujah boils over again. You, me and the Iraqis who have been playin Bush like a cheap fiddle since 9/11 ALL know that won't happen.
I think you are right - they'll call him on it.
And he'll "blink".

Rec'd simply for the coinage of "Pakistan's mountainous Whazzuppastan." Of course, Republipundits will have a field day over the pronunciation...
