Fu**ed

Looking at all of the appointments, don't we know we are fu**ed?  We are better off than we would be with McCain, because we won't have total disasters of federal court appointments and we may not have to suffer another four years of total degradation of the Constitution.  But what can we reasonably expect in terms of progress?  Not much.  We've got an intelligent President who is not W and must be thankful for that, but real change?  I don't think so.  We'll have the same old same old running things.

I disagree. I believe Obama's using enough of his own campaign staff, and Biden's staff, and others, to balance out the Clinton staffers.

You should always try to keep in mind that Clinton staffers were the last of the Dems in power. It would only make sense to borrow some of them, no?

Hang on... F'ed? Really?

Obama is going to be sworn in not in the midst of the financial crisis but in the aftermath. He has to deal with the damage, which is actually going to be far worse and far more complicated than the crisis of confidence we've been dealing with since October.

To do that, Obama needs experienced appointees. Where the heck will he find them, especially if he wants them to be most Democrats? He'll appoint people from the Clinton era because those are the people who have experience as federal executives. But don't fret... these people might not be radical liberals like us folks who post here but... remember the Clinton era economy? Far better than what we have now.

Give Obama a break. He's going to lead his team, not be led by them like Bush was. He's alos picking good people.

You're overreacting. Read Robert Reich's extremely informative post from yesterday.

Now breathe.

Breathe in the good. And breathe out the bad.

Andrew Sullivan Is A Fraud

Why the angst against Andrew Sullivan? He's not David Brooks, but he is pretty honest.

You really ought to try saying - my glass is half full instead of half empty.

We've all heard the saying that there are only two gaurantees in life, death and taxes. Well I believe they left one out: Change! change is constant, it happens everyday. Many times it happens without warning, other times we have to make it happen. This or any crisis in life is a sign that shit needs to change, because what you were doing before ain't working. Obama and his team will bring that change, they bring the shake up that this country needs. Obama promised change from the same old way of doing things in D.C., he promised change from Bush's policies, he promised new ideas, he never made any promises about who would be in his cabinet. I'm surprised that anyone is surprised of his picks so far and that HRC is one of them. To me, it says you haven't been paying attention and you haven't been listening.

What's wrong with being Fussed? I'm sure lots of people would love to be fussed over.

And gosh, I really don't see the need to use asterisks. Everyone knows the word fussed when they see it, even if a couple of letters have been replaced.

I hope you and everyone on TPM has a nice holiday and is fussed over by your loved ones.
