Confessions of an Insurance man

This is the story of Wendell Potter. This an Insurance P.R. man who confesses his role in the insidious nature of Insurance industry's influence in our government and the corporate media.

This takes about fifty-nine minutes and five seconds of your time. It is well worth the time if you haven't seen it on Bill Moyers Journal.

Michael Steele on how to create diversity in the GOP

I am so embarrassed for Michael Steele. He seems to out do himself at every turn. He is a big bag of C-R-A-Z-Y!

Ain't she a Woman?

What's wrong with Pres. Obama? Appointing all these women. Oh yeah, that's right, I live in a city (and state ) that have (had) a woman or women in the highest post in government, Police chief ( she is retiring ), Fire chief and District Attorney. My representative in the house is a woman and my two senators are female.

I mean how dare him try to put a woman on the Supreme Court and now U.S. Surgeon General.

Next thing you know, women are going to start thinking they deserve equal pay for equal work. Oh, that was the Lilly Ledbetter Act

Franken's statement in Sotomayor hearing

I absolutely loved the junior senator of Minnesota statement about how the current court has been "judicial activist." The charge is usually that so-called liberal jurist are activist and their conservative counterparts practice strict judicial restraint. Sen. Franken blew that notion out of the water by citing example after example where Thomas and Scalia have gone beyond the scope of what the Supreme Court is suppose to do.
