Happy Solstice.
I was once privileged to have a house in front of which a lane of laurels had been planted, years before, to accentuate the axis of the setting sun -- one day a year, this day -- of the summer solstice. During the years I lived in that house, I invited everyone I knew to be there, for that once a year setting sun, across the lake, and down the lane, to us. A remarkable, blessed experience.
Thanks, 1849.
Wendy, that must have been a glorious view. Of course, I have to ask; did you ever get a photograph?
Sadly, no, Flower. It seemed an in-the-moment moment, every year.
But, speaking of pictures, I did take one yesterday of the fledgling black-eyed susans, planted for your cat. When they bloom, is there an email that does not compromise your privacy, to which I could send it? Or, does this mean I must, finally, figure out how to post a photo on a blog? Ha.
Probably the best way for me to give you my e-mail address is in the mibbit chat room. I usually drop in there most nights (although not tonight) and I can PM you.
Or, you could learn how to post a photo on a blog. :o) Some how, I get the notion that a photo essay from you would be quite spectacular.
Politics Are you familiar with the Haight-Ashbury?
