On 23 September,
M.J. Rosenberg posted a blog about White Privilege. I read a good number of the comments and a few stood out as a brow beating. I did not intend to post on this subject until now. I was browsing the Huffington Post and came across a most interesting take on
White Privilege. He is someone with less experience in the ways of how we are socialized can illuminate what whiteness means in the United States.

During my American educational experience, I was taught that any place with The People's Republic of (you fill in the blank) was a bad place. As an American, it was the last place on Earth I wanted to be. If the government--and I don't want them to--bails out Wall Street, I move that we change it's official name.

As I made my way through the American educational system, I noticed that places that had the words, The People's Republic of (you fill in the blank) was a bad place. Now our government wants us to forget everything they forced fed us and except this bailout. I say no deal! Save the fish eat the rich.
