What's up with the McCains just LEAVING?
What happened after the debate?
Both Barack and Michelle Obama stayed and shook every hand, signed every autograph, and posed for every possible photo with EVERY undecided voter at that debate.
The McCains, by contrast, fled the premises.
What the heck was going on with that???

I made a point to watch the spectators when Obama was talking: it was clear they listened closely, and liked him. McSame? He made a big deal over the guy who asked the right-wing pro-Israel paranoia question, but Obama succeeded in reaching him despite that bias, and despite McSame's jabber about being himself Navy.
They weren't quite as abosrbed when McSame jabbered, regardless what he had to say. How many times is he going to avoid answering a question about HIS position by talking about "We" instead of HIS position?

Good eye. I watched the audience a little--especially the pro-Israel guy you mentioned, and I agree with your assessment--but I got caught up in paying attention to the poise of the candidates, and seeing how well Obama riposted.
