The Worst of America
What Sarah Palin and John McCain have been doing lately (besides blatantly lying) in their character assassination of Barack Obama is the worst of America. You may have seen the videos with the soundbites of "terrorist", "traitor" or "kill him" with no response from the party leaders to stop the nonsense.
Most recently, the coordinated effort to drop "Hussein" into the introduction for the next Republican fuerher and first frauline.
The latest videos from Ohio and Wisconsin should be disturbing to all Americans--including Republicans and McCain/Palin supporters. It seems to me that they are not. And the Republican propaganda outlet, Fox, continues to promote the lies about Obama's associations with questionable characters.
We know what they are doing--they are being the worst of America--they are being hatemongers, scaremongers--the kind of people that brought us the Klan, McCarthyism and Bush/Cheney in this country. The kind of people that America is not supposed to be about.
They should be ashamed.

So you try to compare them with Nazis (except your German is rather weak) and the Klan, and they're the ones doing the worst of America?
Note: their attack on Obama for whatever ties he may have with William Ayers is not racist. Someone yells something from a crowd and that does not make the guy on stage a Nazi or KKK Grand Master.

Surely you can come up with a better defense of the irresponsible inciting of murderous hatred by McPalin against their political opponent, regardless whether it's racist -- which it is -- and demagogic -- which it is, as were McCarthy, and Hitler, as examples.
Yes: that is doing the worst of America -- including your efforts to lie it into acceptability if not also respectability.
Hate is immoral. Defending hate is immoral.
Lying is immoral. Defending lying is immoral.
Let me guess: you're an asshole.

Let me guess, you're a self-delusionary reading-challenged simplistic moron.
Let's just say that defending Greg's implied comparison of "McPalin" with Hitler by making it overt (and now tossing in McCarthy) qualifies you for a new title: "unhinged" (which is not a stone structure in England nor a funny skit out of Spinal Tap).

I agree with JNagarya. Whether this is racism isn't the crux. The problem is that these whiny, juvenile Mark Levin listeners are coming out of the woodwork and aren't afraid of embarrassing themselves by exposing their creepy pent-up hatred in public. That's why the Nazi and Klan comparisons are dead-on here. These people have forgotten that this isn't how civilized adults should act, and they may not remember again.

Nazi comparisons are "dead-on"?
My my, your Barney Fife avatar certainly suits you.

There's really no need to act ugly. We're all adults here, aren't we?

Well, Barn', Mayberry was fine enough before those goose-stepping brownshirts showed up in town. Hard to get Lloyd to even show up at the barber's these days. And Aunt Bea's giving up baking streudel - says it only encourages them.

OK, if McCain & Palin are not inciting hate by their speech and allowing supporters free reign with their hate speech, then what is it? And how is that not different from hate speech throughout history?

THey're pushing Obama controversies. Same as any candidate would.

Sorry, these aren't controversies, this is fear and hate mongering. This alleged information, and we probably will see Reverend Wright, has been vetted and covered ad nauseum.
So, to rile up your supporters with false arguments meant to incite anger is hate speech. Since they are using false fear mongering, it is hate speech.
Hate Speech definition from Wikipedia: "Hate speech is a term for speech intended to degrade, intimidate, or incite violence or prejudicial action against a person or group of people based on their race, gender, age, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, language ability, moral or political views, socioeconomic class, occupation or appearance (such as height, weight, and hair color), mental capacity and any other distinction-liability."

When Palin and McCain promote the idea that Barack Obama is unAmerican, unPatriotic and a terrorist which incites the crowd that fits the definition of "Hate Speech".
