The Brazilian, The Lobbyist and the Heiress

Has anyone noticed the striking resemblance between Cindy McCain, Vicki Iseman (the telecommunications lobbyist, remember), and his old Brazilian flame, Maria Gracinda Teixeira de Jesus? Quite frankly, I find it disturbing...

You might want to add to this composite a picture of McCain's own mother as a young woman -- then it gets really odd.
Most men seem to be attracted to women who are opposite, in physical type, to their mothers. And this certainly seemed to be true of Bill Clinton, if one compared Hillary to his mother. But then along came Monica, whose resemblance to Bill's mother (as a young woman) was really striking. Does it matter? Where's one of our TPM psychologists to sort this out?

Actually, I've read theories that a template is formed in infancy of the future love object by the appearance and demeanor of the caregiver. In my own life, my oldest son is attracted to little women with big boobs (how I looked when he was little), but my youngest son is attracted to heavier women (how I looked when he was little). My daughter married a man with my sense of humor and my political passion. I was not surprised to see the eerie resemblance of the women in McCain's life. I would even venture to say that he didn't just kick his first wife to the curb because of her physical problems, but because she did not truly fit his "type." I think she was chosen because of competition, he was stealing her from her first husband, and I fully expect that marriage would not have lasted even without the five and a half years of separation and her accident causing her appearance to change.

Very interesting theory:
