That's What They Get!
Watching the Democratic Convention, I got the impression we were a nation of workers. White collar workers. Blue collar workers. Professionals. Journeymen. Students. Hard workers in the Great American workplace. Somewhere.
And, a week later, watching the Republican convention, I got the distinct impression we were a nation of small businessmen and women. Petite Bourgeoisee, running small businesses all over America. Places where all those workers go to work every day.
The Corporations? Nowhere in sight. They didn't come to the conventions.
Those Corporations better watch out.
No matter who wins this election, those Corporations are in trouble.
We're going to take their bad loans away from them. We're going to make them drill for more oil and gas. We're going to make them issue more health insurance policies and provide more medical care. We're going to make them build more pipelines, produce more gasoline and compressed natural gas. And we're even going to make some of their CEOs serve in the cabinet.
And, if those Corporations try to go out of business, we're not going to let them.
That's what they get for not coming to our conventions. You just listen to the debate tonight. You'll see.

The corporations didn't have to show up on the convention floor, they paid for both convention floors. And for those who were at the conventions there were plenty of private parties where they could meet the corporations. Out of sight, out of mind.

Who are these mysterious corporations? Does anybody actually work for one? Does anyone actually have ownership in them? Where did they come from?

I hate the way rich people act and spend their money. They should just turn it over to me. I have my own bailout plan. I just don't have the funding yet.

Since the government is now the lender of last resort in so many cases, I'm hoping the will lend me money to pay my medical expenses.

What did I learn from the debate? That if I need a job I can work on an offshore oil rig or build a nuclear power plant if McCain is elected. If Obama is elected, I can work on a highway crew or an undefined "green-collar" job.
This has to be the most depressing election ever.
