Monegan for Veep
If it's not too late for John McCain to reconsider his choice of running mate, a good choice to replace Sarah Palin might be Walt Monegan, the man Palin fired from his job as Commisioner of Public Safety in Alaska. This comment from Time Magazine's Thornburgh on the results of the legislative investigation into Monegan's firing pretty much sums it up:
Monegan consistently emerges as the adult in these conversations, whileThe McCain campaign desperately needs an adult voice right now, not to mention some adult supervision, and Monegan is someone who could provide it.
the Palin camp displays a childish impetuousness and sense of
entitlement.
We can't be sure what qualities McCain was looking for when he picked Sarah Palin, but we can now be pretty sure that "good judgment" was not one of them.

The man deserves better than to ever be linked with mcShame. I bet he'll end up as governor in AK.

I agree that he would be better for us but like TheraP don't wish him the fate of serving with McCain. He would be smart to run for public office now that he has been elevate by his own character and the media coverag he has received.

How about Monegan for governor of Alaska --> and not because Sarah becomes VEEP; because she gets recalled and thrown out of office!
BTW - Are ANY of her children in school any more? I mean, It is easy to see that education doesn't mean anything to her, but REALLY!
