McCain keeps asking for someone to show him where he's lied or reversed his position...who will oblige him?
I'm glad to see the Des Moines Register editorial board pushing back on some of McCain's claims. This is the second time I've heard him say "if you think I'm lying, show me, because nobody's been able to give me an example." Whoever the other speaker was, she did try to make some headway, but it wasn't enough to actually corner him.
Usually reporters are too easy to get away from--end the press conference, get in the limo, whatever--but this meeting with the editorial board doesn't leave much opportunity to duck out gracefully. We know examples of his position reversals are plentiful, and I'd really like to see someone get him in a close setting like that with documentation and get him to justify some of his more deceptive claims.

The problem with McCain isn't that no one has told him or shown him he lies, the problem is he will not accept it.
Read this brief article for a convincing explanation of why McCain lies but won't accept that he does:

I think Barbara Walters came to the closest to actually holding him accountable on this issue. He ended the discussion by saying that his campaign could back up every assertion. Right. He knows exactly the game that he and his campaign are playing. No one is fooled here. MSM is lamenting how sad it is that the old honorable McCain is gone, but they don't seem to realize that he was never real - all an illusion, a means to an end.
