John McCain's Friend, 'Hanoi David'
John McCain has a Hanoi Jane in his past. Who's a guy, FYI.
There is even a connection to Bill Clinton in this odd story.
The basic point is here's a radical in McCain's past who like William Ayers, changed with time. So much so that both agreed the past is the past. Let it go.

David Ifshin, who was played over Radio Hanoi to McCain's cell was once an owner of TNR.
And John McCain spoke at Mr. Ifshin's funeral.
Ifshin is also a link to the favorable press McCain used to enjoy.
Do you suppose McCain understands people change? The very same radical whose voice McCain heard every day as a POW is the very same radical who would become a friend of John McCain the freed man.
McCain met with Ifshin and they found common ground. "I said to him, Look, I accept your apology. We'll be friends. But more importantly I want you to forget it. Go on with your life. You cannot look back.'
