And so it went, a meditation on a fallen world. While the boys next to me doodled on their church bulletin, Reverend Wright spoke of Sharpesville and Hiroshima, the callousness of policy makers in the White House and in the State House

Yeah, I think that when discussing apartheid and Haiti's ruin, citing the greed of privledged westerners -- yes, white men -- is fair.

Well, the evidence would be the public record of who got the funds and how they were used. Up until now, the picture we have of Obama the organizer is he helped people in the projects get asbestos out of their buildings. If the Republicans can define his work to include giving money to "radical" groups that can tarnish that image. And they can accuse him of lying about what he did as a neighborhood organizer. That's the pot of gold at the end of the Ayres/Annenberg grant rainbow.

Ayers never killed anybody, unlike the of men women and children killed by McCain while bombing innocent villages.

You really should take a look at the NYT article JS linked in up thread.

He was the founder of a terrorist group. That group engaged in bombings. People died as a result (happily 3 of their own members!). They engaged in armed robbery. Two police and a guard died. That still makes everyone involved in the group legally guilty of murder (even for their own members being killed - that's how the law works). It also makes him guilty of conspiracy and a number of other crimes. He admitted he was involved, he is unrepentant. He was recently photographed stomping on an American flag, so his America hating has not changed. And he is Obama's buddy.
