CNN does it again, Runs 3 mins. of Palin attacks in full. Not even CLOSE to unbiased.
Once again CNN shows their true color, RED.
At 6:55 am this morning CNN played about 3 minutes of the Palin Campaign speech accusing Obama of associating with "terrorists" immediately after they spent another 10 minutes basically saying the same thing but with different words. They the went to news headlines and then back to more of the same about Obama.
Then they go to a story about Obama's response to the Palin comments. Then after the story the Anchor (don't know her name) tried to provide more credence to the charges as she stumbled around asking a question about how the McCain campaign thinks that Obama's association with "terrorists" will help McCain/Palin. (notice the lack of the words alleged or assertions).
With the exception of Jack Cafferty (sp?) I just can't stomach CNN.
John King, John Roberts, are obviously "tanking" for McCain and Lou "Crazy Eyes" Dobbs is just pissed about everything.
Please let CNN know we are not as stupid as they think we are.

Fox news is even more entertaining. Especially the Hannity guy. But the Associated Press seems to have been born again. As long as they're not hurting Obama in the polls, let them spin.

I stopped watching CNN long ago - but the fact is, that stuff matters.
So it's really important to email them and complain - they measure whether their audience is happy or not by the amount of hate mail they get and ratings..and with Rachel Maddow making inroads into their prime shows, it's going to make a difference...

CNN is, in fact, three colors: Red, Blue, and $$Green.
They have their "Reddish correspondents" like Champion Idiot in the All-Around category - John King. They have their Bluish hues, too.
At the end of the day, what does CNN care about MOST - that's right, 'it's the viewership ratings, stupid'!
Palin sells. Like it (like when CNN endlessly replayed her Couric-blathering) or not (like now), CNN knows she's a meal-ticket and will play her, for good or bad, whenever they can.

Here's a link to a feedback form for "CNN Politics" but really - what good is it going to do unless we get 500,000 people to bring down their server?

Why isn't MoveOn doing this stuff anymore?

If McCain was ahead, they'd be attacking him. They have no goal other than to make it appear that the race is still close. But the race is over. McCain has sold his soul and dumped buckets of shit on his own reputation, and he will lose anyway.
CNN sucks almost as bad as Fox.

Agreed on all points.

The dirtier the McCain campaign, the more volunteers we have coming into our Dems/Obama office near Chicago. The place was swamped today with people signing up for the coming week-end's canvassing trips. We will need to get more buses. I wonder how the online donations are doing.

Yeah, the problem with going negative is that it pisses off moderates. And the overwhelming perception these days is that McCain has gone WAY more negative than Obama. (It doesn't hurt that McCain's microcephalic campaign staff ANNOUNCES that they're going negative.) Obama is up 53-45% in the latest CNN poll. McCain is sinking into the ocean of sewage that he's been spewing for most of this campaign. It's amazing to me that they can't see what they're doing to themselves. I guess it's because they're Republicans. They don't know anything else.

Just make a point of sending them emails and also denouncing their bias on the Political Ticker.

I liked Rick Sanchez today. He kept going on about how the campaigns are bringing up old shit, like Keating and Ayers, while ignoring the economy.
News flash, Sanchez: One of the two is relevant to the economy. The other isn't.
Hooray for feigned objectivity!
I also like the use of Twitter, which won't allow for comments longer than 140 characters or so. As if soundbites weren't bad enough, we can now conduct our political discourse in text message sized packets. Groovy.

Carefully selected text message sized packets. Sanchez is a Republican piece of shit.

One more thing: Support shows that show a liberal view. Rachel and KO's for example. The better they do in ratings, the more the greedy corporates will chase those viewers.

that would involve watching TV
Something I have been relieved of via the internet.
Control the flow.

did I mention a general distaste for turning myself into a commodity with little to show for it other than time lost?

Hey - when Olbermann or Maddow rants and raves, I don't hear anyone on this website complaining about his biased views.
I'm sorry that everyone can't be like MSNBC.

MCBill,
Olberman and Maddow DON'T pretend or claim to be impartial. CNN does, and they are not.

The closer the race appears to be, the higher the ratings. CNN cares only about ad revenue. Palin, for good or bad, gets ratings. Fortunately polls are proving that the more Palin slanders O the more independents move to him. So while annoying as hell, it is probably a good thing CNN is giving her so much air time. Give em enough rope.

They would get better ratings if they conducted their own interview with Palin. Why is no one at CNN thinking big enough to threaten to pull all coverage of her until they have their own material? If she won't sit down with one of their correspondents for an interview, then they should refuse to grant her free airtime.

Now that I agree with 100%. Same with mcbush. He hasn't given a presser in months and I don't think that he has been on cnn. No access, no coverage. Simple as that.
CNN sucks by the way. Much worse than fox entertainment. Also, cnn is totally in the tank for mcbush regardless of where the race is. Typical right-wing media, they want mcbush to win. Pathetic.
