I'm sure many others are fed up with politics in the current environemnt when a position statement is more or less an attack on your opponent. And unfortunately the Republicans are brilliant at this tactic while the Dems have the uncanny abilty to 'snatch defeat from the jaws of victory." (witness last two presidential elections). At what point does Obama or a designeee start really pounding the table with the one-off statement Obama made of "when you have no position or anything constructive to discuss, you simply denegrate your opponenet..." This must be thematic for Obama and all designees. Taking the high road is likley to win out in today's environment but any lawyer will tell you to do what you can to provoke your opponenet into showing his true colors. In the upcoming debate I would counsel Obama to simply paraphrase Reagen's :there you go again" statement everytime McCain dredges up slime, which he will. Cause McCain to lose his cool which is also likley/ Let America see the real and very desperate McCain for once.
