What's worse than mccain/palin in the WH?
Having McCain as president and Palin as vice would be terrifying. It's a nightmare for me, one I hope I never wake up from to find it's true. But what would be worse in reality would be McCain with dementia as president and with Palin pulling the strings and covering it up behind the scenes like his handlers are doing now.
I always suspected that someone besides Reagan was running things in the 80s and this was before the country knew he had Alzheimers. Pat Buchanan seemed a likely suspect. Even when you factor in Ollie North, the Reagan regime looks like the epitome of good government in retrospect compared to the spectre of a Palin/first dude theocracy.
This is just a scary campfire story, though. McCain is not going to win and Palin will not be vp. (Although McCain might be having real senior moments) A week ago I might have been on the verge of a nervous breakdown contemplating the possibility, but I've decided that the American people are smarter than that. Obama will win. I'm in the *zone*.
