What's happening with Andrew Sullivan (Daily Dish)?
There was only one post fairly early this morning (one of those From Your Windows) and then nothing all day. Does anyone know?

Maybe he's traveling.
Odd, though, isn't it?

I have wondered about this also. Hope he is just taking a time out after a very emotional week with the RNC. I also hope he has not been given a "time out" by the powers that be at The Atlantic for some of his posts re Palin, Trig, etc.

Well, The Atlantic certainly gave him wide berth when he trashed Hillary Clinton -- mercilessly and sometimes daily -- during the primaries.
I'd imagine they'll let him say whatever he wants about Palin.
Then again.....I'm feeling paranoid enough to think maybe the Republican Party is able to bully almost everybody who's anybody cowed into silence.
Andrew's the only conservative whose viewpoint I can stand to read. I disagree with some of his views, but I think he's intellectually honest and sincere.
Usually he gets substitute bloggers to cover for him when he has to be away. The "dead air" on his blog does seem strange. I hope he's okay.

Hey the guy's gotta write his actual magazine/newspaper articles sometime.
But if a blogger as prolific as he's been lately wants to take a day off, ain't it customary to post a notice to that effect?

Yeah, he does have a group of regular 'fill-ins' that I'd think he could call in quickly (if he just had a bad cold or something). --- Don't like the thought you had, laurajordan, about the dreaded and sometimes all-pervasive Republicans. (Also agree with your view of him.) ----- On the other hand, my first thought was that he got hold of something really 'hot' and is taking time off to pursue it to totally trip up Palin. (Or maybe that's just wishful thinking, but it was my first thought.) I also hope he (and his standing) is okay.

I hope your wishful thinking is what's really happening.
Here's the way my mind works -- when I saw that there were no posts for today and no explanation, I immediately began to worry that some personal calamity had befallen him. Ick.
I hope we get word from him soon!

It's definitely pretty strange -- if he was pursuing a lead, it seems like there'd be a post from his assistant saying as much. Of course, it seems like there'd be a post from his assistant no matter what was going on, after this long, so it's probably best not to worry.
Scary, though -- not so much because of any GOP evildoers, but just because of the situation with Andrew's health. I know it's much easier to live with HIV than it used to be, but still.
