John McCain has become so cynical that he has surrounded himselves with advisors who are willing to start up a culture war in this country in their blind desire to keep the White House

These people are bamking on whippping up angst against the media and female pent up angst and channel all that phony baloney elite stuff and packaging it in the strong voice and Tina Fey like comfortable personage of Gov Sarah Palin

We ALL have to get the facts out there -
This is NOT a media conspiracy against a poor little woman - this is a completely unqualified person who has extereme social views - no world view and could very well be the President of the United States within the next four years.

Sarah Palin has told a series of falsehoods in her two major appearances before the public

Big falsehoods - and small ones - but a pattern
1: She was Ted Stevens Alaska campaign rep in 2006 - and then she distanced herself when he ws indicted
2: She was for the Bridge to Nowhere until it became the laughingstock of the country and then she was against it 3: BUT KEPT THE MONEY FOR THE STATE OF ALASKA FOR HER OWN PROJECTS)
4: Earmarks: As Mayor of Wasilla she hired Jack Abramoff's firm to lobby for her and got $37m in earmarks for a town of 5,000 people (in 1996 when she was elected). As Gov of Alaska she applied for $1.9 Billion in earmarks
5: She did NOT sell the Gov jet on Ebay - it appeared on Ebay for a day and was sold privately as a great loss to the State. It is now used for private lease for wealthy hunters

AS TO SARAH PALIN'S BELIEFS:
1: She does NOT believe Global Warming is man made
2: She wants to drill in ANWR
3: She wants CREATIONISM taught in the schools -
4: She pulled all funding for teaching Sex Education in the Alaska School system as she is a proponent of abstinence
5: She believes we are in Iraq as an "Act of God"
6: As Mayor Palin she threatened to fire the long time local librarian of Wasila when books that Mayor Palin wanted pulled from the public library were not pulled
7: As Mayor Palin she left a town she headed fron 1996 with a surplus to a town in debt of $22m in 2002
8: As Gov Palin she gave the keynote address this year to the Alaska Secession Party to which her husband was a member until 2004
9: Sarah Palin was a "pitchfork" person for Pat Buchanan in 1992 and 1996 (you recall Pat's fire and brimstone speech in 1992 and this woman supported him?)
10: Sarah Palin is against abortion in all case including rape and threat of the mother's health.
11: Sarah Palin wants Roe V Wade to be reversed

AS TO SARAH PALIN'S Background:
1: As Gov Palin she got her passport for the first time in 2007 to visit Germany/Kuwait
2: Sarah Palin went to five colleges in six years.
3: Gov Palin is under an ethics invetigation in Alaska for pressuring a local commission to fire her former brother in law (a police officer) who was in a nasty divorce/custody dispute with her sister
4: Gov Palin gave a stirring (and frightening) speech about the role of God in Government in June 2008
5:On July 28, 2008: Gov Palin asked a reporter what the VP does
6: When asked about her views on the Irag War in March 2008, Gov Palin said "she hadn't really thought about it"
7: While citing Hillary Clinton gratuitously in the week she has been on the national stage, Gov Palin called Sen Clinton a "whiner" (March 2008) for complaining about "sexism" in the media

and so much more ......

If these sound like the criteria to be a heartbeat away for a four time cancer survivor who happens to be 72 years old - in a world where the ecomony is crashing and we are engaged in two wars and other bubbling international tensions - then as they say "I have a bridge to sell you"

If the American people do not see the pure cynicism of Candidate McCain in selecting this incredibly polarizing and unqualified person to function as a "weapon of mass DISTRACTION" from the important issues facing the people of this country - then we are in deeper trouble than I thought.

And as a 54 year old woman with children myself - I cannot believe the naked ambition of any parent - male of female - who would not discuss with her family/children in advance a decision that could change all of their lives:
(a) Nicole Wallace of the McCain campaign said on "Morning Joe" that Palin told her kids they were going on a trip to celebrate her parents anniversary to "surprise" them with the nomination announcement in Ohio
(b) Surprise BRISTOL - you are about to become the poster child for unwed teens everywhere
(c) Surprise LEVI - you aren't even in my family - but you are getting married
(d) Baby PALIN - you are now a prop to be in a hall of 20000 screaming people and be passed among seven people as your mom gives a speech (and lost count the second night)
(e) and sorry - not disputing the baby's parentage doesn't change the odd though pattern of a 44 year old woman giving birth to her fifth child who flies 11 hours back to Alaska, does NOT tell the airline she is pregnant (you need permission past the seventh month, does not tell the flight attendants) then drives two hours past every major hospital in Anchorage to give birth in a local hospital.
And went back to work three days after?
THAT is an issue in JUDGEMENT
