We Need Examples Obama - Small Town Middle Class Folks Need to See What's happening
Perhaps it's time for Barack Obama to come up with some examples of who's being hurt right now by this credit crunch and stock market crash.
He should come up with an average Joe and Jane, middle income wagers, that have their retirements in mutual funds and stocks.
How much have they lost so far since the White House announced the bailout plan? How much are they likely to lose if the bailout isn't settled?
Obama should also find a company (small business) that's unable to get a loan because of the credit crunch.
Small town Americans need to see and hear about examples of the common folk being hurt by this mess on Wall Street.
Only then will they rally around the bailout bill.

I forgot to add that I think an Ad should be created showing citizens off the street worrying about whether or not they'll have money in their bank accounts next week or if they should take their savings out and put it under their mattresses or whether their retirement money left after this crisis.
It should have nothing to do with Obama's campaign, except to say he supported the ad.
In the end, he should say something like -- this is why I'm worried about Mainstream America.

I agree that using some real examples might encourage more people to support the bailout. But I think it would be a mistake to encourage more anxiety by running ads with people talking about taking their money out of the bank.
Obama seems to be taking on the role the president should be taking - acknowledging there is a crisis while reassuring everyone that it's going to be okay. I think that's the best way for him to go right now. He looks calm and confident in the face of a crisis, which will instill calm and confidence in everyone else.

Connie is so right,it has never been explained properly, & was presented in such a way it terrified. I want seven hundred billion, absolutely no questions & I want it now! Also stop calling it bailout, say rescue or something similar, it's to help us, not just wall street. If they crash we all do.
One more thing, advice to politicians, stop playing chicken, this crisis puts us all on the same page.
Lord! anyone want this election over?
