Viva Zapatero!!!!

On Wednesday John McCain assured America and the world he will stand up to petty dictators to the south of our border.  The noted revolutionary and drug runner Zapatero is at the top of his list.  Huh?  Ummmm...Zapatero isn't a narco leftist from Central America?  He's the leader of Spain?  Ahhhh, don't sweat the little details.  He's a bad guy anyways, he pulled the Spanish troops out of Iraq and if we dig hard enough I am sure we'll find ties between Zapatero and Chavez, right?  Well maybe, but only in McCain's addled mind.

First there was not being able to identify who the Sunnis and Shi'a were.  Then we got to hear about the Iraq-Pakistan border.  Moving right along to Senator Maverick not knowing that the Sunni awakening preceded the Surge.  A pattern has become evident.  And I won't even get into his admission that he knows little about the economy.  These aren't just isolated cases of McCain 'mistakes' or him being confused.  It should be obvious to all that McCain's mental facilities are in decline.

We already know that Gov. Sarah "A Not Ready For Prime Time Player" Palin's only foreign policy qualification is her state's geographic proximity to Russia but McCain's gaffes should be enough to cast serious doubts on the qualifications of the person at the top of the ticket.  Seriously (in the words of Barack Obama), you just can't keep making this stuff up.  What has McCain been doing the last 26 years in Congress?  Not paying attention would be my guess.  Or maybe he did pay attention and just forgot he did.

VIVA ZAPATERO!!!!

What's even more ridiculous is that quite obviously there is no love lost between Chavez and Spain.

The fracas began when Mr Chavez accused Mr Aznar, of backing the 2002 coup and repeatedly called him “fascist” in an address at the summit of leaders from Latin America, Spain and Portugal.

“Fascists are not human. A snake is more human,” Mr Chavez said during the conference. Spain’s current socialist prime minister, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, asked Mr Chavez to be more diplomatic and show respect for other leaders despite political differences.

“President Hugo Chavez, I think there is an essential principle to dialogue, and that is, to respect and be respected, we should be careful not to fall into insults,” Mr Zapatero said.

Mr Chavez continued to interrupt as Zapatero spoke, although his microphone was switched off.

A frustrated King Juan Carlos, sitting next to Mr Zapatero, leaned toward Mr Chavez and said: “Why don’t you shut up?” The monarch then left the chamber.

McCain must agree with Chavez? Maybe?

=D

Hehehe...

He probably isn't sure himself...I can hear him now. "Chavez? Brazil, right? We have good relations with Brazil, which I would like to see continue."
