The Power of Ridicule (w/Videos)
This is my first post here, looking forward to many more. I, like many
people, have become increasingly upset at the deeply cynical, dishonest
and dishonorable campaign being run by John McCain. Now, we all expect both campaigns to spin issues and facts to their advantage, and campaign promises that go unfulfilled after the election are nothing new, but John McCain's willingness to lie about established and uncontroversial past facts is truly astounding. My first reaction is to get angry, and I'm sure I'm not alone in that. Anger can be easy to dismiss, however, and there is a more powerful weapon out there that we haven't used enough - ridicule. These guys are a joke, so we should laugh at them. This is what the Daily Show does so well. Obama's new ad is pretty good and a step in that direction.
I've created a couple videos of my own to make the point. Honor is McCain's own ad, but knowing what we know now, he must be joking, right? Same concept with Original Mavericks. These two can't be serious.
John McCain & George Bush: A Forbidden Love is not a new concept (pics and video to music), but I haven't seen anyone use "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston yet. The lyrics are so perfect. There's also some good video re the 90% quote, and a clip of McCain at the end that is the very definition of shit-eating.
Hope you like my videos, and it's pretty easy to make your own with Windows Movie Maker or similar software, so give it a shot!

I sent you video to my mom - a rabid republican...she LOVES it! She's not too thrilled with the title (the forbidden part) but she still loves Bush and she thinks it's a really great video...
