Some questions for the Mainstream Media to ask Gov. Palin
Now that the red-meat speech is over, I pass along some questions -- I'm sure there are more, but these are top of mind -- from a friend in Wisconsin. If you know a reporter, maybe you can get these to him or her in time for the next press conference:
Now, she has to have a press conference or two, be interviewed on Meet the
Press, and answer questions raised thus far only in liberal blogs and celebrity
'zines, like US, or the National Enquirer. Has she been lying about Trig and
his parentage? How can she answer that she was carrying a 6#,2oz baby and not
show in her 8th month. What was Bristol (perhaps named for Bristol, CN, where
ESPN is and who was born when SP wanted to be an ESPN anchor) doing out of
school for 4 or 5 months while her mom was allegedly pregnant? Why don't the
pictures of babies born that day in the Anchorage hospital show a Palin baby?
Why have those pictures now been taken down? Did she really risk a 7 hour+ air
journey while leaking amniotic fluid in her 8th month? Why did the airline not
keep her off the plane and why did she not seek immediate medical attention when
that (allegedly) happened? Why did she fire the Wasilla City Manager whom she
had hired? Why did she fire the Police Chief? What exactly was her role in
attempting to ban books from the city library and how did the librarian who
opposed those efforts come to lose her job later? Did she replace career city
workers with her hand-picked appointees? Will she cooperate with the bipartisan
legislative committee that is now investigating her firing of the State's Safety
Commissioner/Director after he had been bombarded unsuccessfully with questions
about why the trooper brother-in-law was still employed? (Okay, the
brother-in-law may be a cruel husband and father, but there are other ways of
dealing with domestic abuse than denying him employment and her sister possible
child support.) What are her specific religious beliefs? Does she believe that
God created the Heaven and Earth in 7 days? If so, were they 24 hour days? Or,
does she just belief that evolution, based on science, is a scientific theory,
in the way that science uses theory, while creationism is an equivalent "theo
ry" because it is called a theory by its proponents?
