Olberman and Matthews pulled from MSNBC...
NYT is reporting the shake-up tonight. Click HERE for the link.
GOP gets their way, and Rove gets his buddy David Gregory in as a replacement.
Sorry for the short blog but I'm out kiddies. See you all in the funny pages.

Why would you apologize for a short post? Thanks for the info.
Many of the posts here are way too long.

If confirmed, I'll be sure not to watch debate coverage on MSNBC. Gregory is awful.

My all time favorite meltdown was when Joe Scarborough fell apart during the 2006 election - Chris heckled him mercilessly and my husband and I howled in laughter.
I wish someone would put it on YouTube if they have it. Adult tantrums are simply hilarious.
Anyway, sounds like a good move if they really want to be relevant this go around.
They each have their own show/platform, should be enough.
David Gregory's show is actually awful.
On another note, I thought O'Reilly's comments post Obama interview were pretty gracious.
O'Reilly seems to have lucid moments every so often.

Well, the title was a little too short -- I thought they were being pulled from MSNBC altogether -- like Hardball and Countdown disappearing tomorrow!!!! Yikes!
I can actually see taking them off the main reporting of the debates, elections, etc. and in fact would sort of welcome it. It honestly *hurt* to watch them try to be neutral and "objective" after that soul-curdling speech of Palin's. Put them on the sidelines and let them speak their mind!!

No longer watching MSNBC on election night. Gregory is one the republicans puppet and he is a disgrace, and should do very well on Fox News with Andre Mitchell. This is really sad.
I will be watching only Keith and Rachel...

The fix is in, but it shouldn't be unexpected. Part of the GOP plan is to control the media and they are doing a pretty good job.
Time better spent would be trying to anticipate where the next assault will come from and be prepared for it. The GOP does not fight fair.

I'm Ok with seeing Keith on his regular time slot... he is the best...
"Up to now, the company’s public support for MSNBC’s strategy has been enthusiastic. At an anniversary party for Mr. Olbermann in April, Mr. Zucker called “Countdown” “one of the signature brands of the entire company.”
Just last year, Mr. Olbermann signed a four-year, $4-million-a-year contract with MSNBC. NBC is close to supplementing that contract with Mr. Olbermann, extending his deal through 2013 — and ensuring that he will be on MSNBC through the next election."

No longer watching MSNBC on election night. Guess I'll shuffle back to CNN. David Gregory is a limp noodle. No sense of true reporting every since he left the WH press corp.
If the MSM hands this election over to John "Hey Lady, take that!" McCain, then we're done as a democracy. Then again we're not one anyway.
Freedom of de-press?
