Ohio Governor Ted Strickland brokers deal for Sherrod Brown (D-OH) & Barack Obama to introduce National PAID Sick Day Legislation for full and part time workers!!

In a compromise that will benefit workers nationwide Ohio Governor Ted Strickland has brokered a deal with Sherrod Brown & Barack Obama. The sick day question was to be on the ballot in Ohio this November, but Strickland who was concerned about the impact to Ohio businesses as the only state in the nation with mandatory paid sick days, went to Obama and Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) to seek Federal Legislation requiring paid sick days nationwide. They agreed to introduce the legislation in the Senate and the group that organized the ballot measure in Ohio agreed to withdraw the measure from the November ballot.
